Background 

To drive engagement with the Jack Link’s brand online, 3 tier logic worked with its client to launch a User Generated Content (UGC) promotion where consumers were asked to submit their own original product tagline for a chance to win free jerky for a year and a case printed with their tagline.

Strategy

To meet the client’s objective of increasing brand engagement, 3 tier logic designed a UGC promotion and a branded mobile-optimized microsite.

Using social media for online activation, consumers were made aware of the promotion on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. After registering on the microsite, users could submit a tagline or share the promotion on social media, and for additional chances to win, shoppers could share their tag lines with friends on social media. PLATFORM³’s Data Capture & Analytics Module was used to capture email addresses and phone numbers from SMS opt-ins to generate a consumer database for ongoing marketing initiatives and ongoing retargeting.
