To engage their consumers and drive social media sharing, Jack Link’s launched a User Generated Content promotion. Consumers can submit their own original product tagline for a chance to win free jerky for a year and a case printed with their tagline.

Goals:

  • Drive social media sharing.
  • Develop an online user base in advance of a full e-commerce program launching later in 2016.

Tactics:

  • Engage: Shoppers share their taglines with friends on social media for additional chances to win.
  • Rewards: Incentivize participation, engagement, and sharing by rewarding shoppers for interacting with the Jack Links brand and sharing their brand experiences online.
  • Awareness: On-pack advertising of the promotion.
  • Data Capture: Capturing emails and SMS opt-in to generate email registration list for ongoing marketing initiatives such as e-commerce rollout.
