Background 

To drive sales, 3 tier logic worked with its client to launch an SMS/MMS Campaign where a consumer was asked to purchase a qualifying Tyson Foods product to be entered into a sweepstakes to win valuable prizes.

Strategy

To meet the client’s objective of increasing sales, 3 tier logic used PLATFORM³ to configure an SMS/MMS Campaign for the Tyson Foods Game Day SMS Sweepstakes. The Promotion leveraged PLATFORM³ modules including Contests & Promotions, Purchase Receipt Validation, Shopper Messaging, and Data Capture & Analytics.

Under the promotion, consumers who purchased qualifying Tyson products submitted an image of their receipt via MMS message to receive a chance to win a trip for two to Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis, or one of (12) twelve secondary prizes of $50 Prepaid Virtual Visa Cards.

Using on-pack signage for in-store activation, consumers were made aware of the promotion at retailers, thus influencing their purchase decisions. After making a qualifying purchase, and snapping and texting in a photo of their receipt, consumers were instantly entered into the sweepstakes for a chance to receive a reward. PLATFORM³’s Optical character recognition receipt scanning license provided the client with a way to engage consumers on their mobile device and gain shopper knowledge from receipt uploads. PLATFORM³’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities also provided the client with a means to monetize the consumer data.
