Background 

To drive social media engagement on Twitter, 3 tier logic worked with its client to launch the no-purchase Win the Day sweepstakes where consumers were asked to register  to receive one entry into the sweepstakes for the chance to win a Kroger gift card.

Strategy

To meet the client’s objective of increasing brand engagement on Twitter and engaging consumers on their mobile device, 3 tier logic designed a custom reward microsite.

Digital media buys and promotional displays were used to advertise the sweepstakes and encourage consumers to participate. To incentivize participation, engagement, and social sharing, consumers were rewarded with gift cards, and the option to earn additional sweepstake entries by tweeting one new back-to-school tip each day on how to “win the day” with the associated hashtag, #winthedaysweepstakes. This encouraged consumers to act as brand advocates for Wrigley by sharing information about the sweepstakes on Twitter.

PLATFORM³ provided the client with a way to engage consumers and gain shopper knowledge from registration forms.
