Beauty & Cosmetics: Buy $20, Receive $10

A beauty and cosmetics company whose brands offer products like facial cleansers, body lotions, sunscreen, and deodorant faced a need for increased sales and user first-party data. They partnered with 3 tier logic to launch a national gift with purchase program, exclusive to participating brands and USA consumers. This was the second program the brand activated with 3 tier logic.

Strategy

3 tier logic used PLATFORM³ to create a microsite for the client’s gift with purchase promotion, leveraging the following modules:

• Contests and Promotions

• Purchase Receipt Validation

• Gift Cards & Rewards

• Data Capture & Analytics

When consumers purchase $20 worth of participating products in one or multiple transactions, they are eligible to receive a $10 Visa prepaid card. Through the Purchase Receipt Validation technology on PLATFORM³, customers can validate their purchase by registering and uploading a picture of their receipt(s) to the promotion microsite. Once their purchase has been validated, customers receive an email with their $10 Visa prepaid card and instructions on how to redeem it. Consumers were limited to one reward per email address. 3 tier logic also provided the $10 Visa prepaid card via its digital rewards catalog and also provided legal adminstration.

Through PLATFORM³, the client was able to collect meaningful data about their consumers’ product preferences and purchasing behavior throughout the duration of the promotion. The Data Capture & Analytics module provides strong insights into users’ microsite activity. They are able to use this data to make well-informed decisions and design future promotions for boosting sales, engagement, and customer loyalty.
