20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has produced some of the world’s most successful films such as Ice Age, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and The Peanuts Movie. In 2019, Walt Disney Company acquired 21st Century Fox so 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment’s operation became part of Disney’s own home entertainment division. It now operates as a label of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment partnered with 3 tier logic to launch a PIN code Gift With Purchase program for the release of the movie The Greatest Showman.

Strategy

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment partnered with 3 tier logic to launch their PIN code Gift With Purchase promotion for the release of the movie The Greatest Showman. The was a national program that ran across the United States for 3 months. 3 tier logic used PLATFORM³ to create a microsite for the promotion, leveraging the following modules:

  • Contests & Promotions

  • Pin Code Generation and Validation

  • Gift Cards & Rewards

  • Data Capture & Analytics 

Customers that purchase specially marked packages of The Greatest Showman on 4k Ultra HD, Blu-ray or DVD from Target, Walmart or Best Buy are eligible to receive a $5 digital gift card to the associated retailer. Customers would enter the PIN code found inside the packaging onto the mobile microsite. Once they validated their purchase, they were emailed instructions to receive their $5 digital retailer specific gift card. 

Through the Purchase Validation technology on PLATFORM³, customers can validate their purchase by registering and entering the unique PIN code to the microsite. Once their purchase has been validated, customers receive an email with a confirmation of their reward.

PLATFORM³ allows 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment to track the progress of their promotion in real-time and collect invaluable customer data. The Data Capture & Analytics module provides information on customers’ activity on the microsite during the promotion and their purchase information. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment was able to take advantage of this data to build upon their customer acquisition strategy to drive more sales and purchases.
