The Coca-Cola Company is an American multinational beverage corporation whose brands in soft drinks, healthy beverages, and energy drinks are sold worldwide. Some of their products include Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Powerade, Dasani, and Glaceau Smartwater. Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling LLC partnered with 3 tier logic to launch their regional ‘$5 Holiday Walmart’ gift with purchase promotion, exclusive to participating Coca-Cola products and Walmart retailers in California and Nevada. This was the third program 3 tier logic activated for The Coca-Cola Company, with the previous two being for its Fa!rlife Milk portfolio.

Strategy

3 tier logic used PLATFORM³ to create a skinny microsite for Coca-Cola’s ‘$5 Holiday Walmart’ gift with purchase promotion, leveraging the following modules:

  • Contests and Promotions

  • Purchase Receipt Validation

  • Gift Cards & Rewards

  • Data Capture & Analytics

When consumers purchase $15 worth of qualifying Coca-Cola products in one transaction from Walmart, they are eligible to receive a $5 Walmart digital gift card. Through the Purchase Receipt Validation technology on PLATFORM³, customers can validate their purchase by registering and uploading a picture of their receipt to the promotion microsite. Once their purchase has been validated, customers receive an email with their $5 Walmart digital gift card and instructions on how to redeem it. 3 tier logic procured and fulfilled the gift cards through its digital rewards catalog.

PLATFORM³ allowed Reyes Coca-Cola to track the progress of the promotion in real-time and capture insightful consumer data. The Data Capture & Analytics module provides valuable information about shoppers’ purchasing behavior on the microsite throughout the duration of the promotion. Reyes Coca-Cola is able to use this data to make strategic business decisions for future marketing campaigns and continue driving sales and brand engagement.
